Tasting Notes

Foundry Forge Blend offers rich caramel sweetness layered with deep, velvety dark chocolate notes. This full-bodied coffee delivers a smooth and satisfying mouthfeel, with a low, balanced acidity that creates a mellow finish. The lingering aftertaste reveals subtle hints of roasted nuts and cocoa, making every sip a robust and enjoyable experience.

Origin & Process

The Foundry Forge Blend is crafted from carefully selected specialty Arabica beans sourced from Brazil, El Salvador, and India. These beans are semi-washed to preserve their natural sweetness and enhance their smooth, bold characteristics. The blend combines the unique qualities of each region to deliver a rich, full-bodied coffee with exceptional depth and complexity.

Roast Profile & Use

Roasting Profile:

Foundry Forge is roasted to a dark level to develop a rich, full-bodied flavour without bitterness. This roast highlights the blend’s smooth caramel sweetness and deep dark chocolate notes, creating a bold and balanced cup.

Recommended Use:

Ideal for those who enjoy a strong, robust espresso. Perfect for rich, full-bodied espresso shots, as well as milk-based drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites that benefit from its creamy sweetness and chocolate undertones. Also excellent for making intense, flavour-packed filter coffee.

Brew Guide

This versatile blend performs beautifully across all brew methods:

Espresso: Use 18-20 grams of coffee for a double shot. Brew at 93-95°C (200-203°F) with a 25-30 second extraction time to highlight the rich caramel and dark chocolate flavors.

Filter: Use a medium grind size with a 1:15 coffee-to-water ratio. Brew time of 3-4 minutes at 92-96°C (198-205°F) to extract the blend’s bold, smooth character without bitterness.

Milk-Based Drinks: Steam milk to around 60-65°C (140-149°F) to complement the blend’s creamy texture and sweet notes. Ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, and flat whites.
